One of Türkiye's leading jazz guitarists Bilal Karaman will meet music lovers in Ankara with a concert featuring his new album “Manouche a La Turca” as part of the 29th International Ankara Jazz Festival. His music combines the lively spirit of Gypsy Jazz with Türkiye’s rich musical traditions, Karaman will perform both his own compositions and original arrangements of popular classics.

In this special concert, he will be joined by a quartet of Türkiye's most distinguished musicians. Audiences can expect a musical journey that appeals not only to the ears but also to the soul. Bilal Karaman started playing the guitar at the age eleven and quickly became one of Türkiye’s most original jazz guitarists. He shared the stage with international names such as Marcus Miller, Dianne Reeves, and Aydın Esen. The artist, who won first place in the 2009 Nardis Jazz Guitar Competition, has performed in over 20 countries and has taken the stage at the Istanbul and London Jazz Festivals. Continuing his innovative pursuits since his first album Bahane in 2011, Karaman made a big splash with his Manouche a La Turca series, which blends the Manouche tradition pioneered by Django Reinhardt with Anatolian music. Launched in 2018, the series met listeners with its third volume in 2025, following follow-up albums and live recordings.
